OBIT: Alfred K. Sinclair (Kittanning)

Alfred K. Sinclair, 76 of Kittanning, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born February 28, 1938 in Kittanning to Kenneth Lerner and Dorothy Pearl (Kissinger) Sinclair.

Alfred was a retired operating engineer from Local 66.

He was a member of Furnace Run Chapel, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking care of his yard and spending winters in Florida.

Alfred is survived by his daughter, Debra K. Sinclair of Kittanning; grandson, Keith Henry Pyle of Kittanning that Alfred raised as a son; granddaughter, Shanna Blake and husband, Brandon of Kittanning; and sister, Mrs. Charles (Patricia) Barnett of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Kathy (Heilman) Sinclair.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow – Saturday, March 22, 2014 – in the Kennedy and Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be offered from 1-2PM Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the funeral home before funeral services, co-officiated by Alfred’s church pastor, Pastor Jimmy Edwards, and close friend Paul “Red” Williams.

Memorial contributions may be made to Furnace Run Chapel.
