Sawyer Stepp & Friends Headline Dinner Jam This Saturday

Sawyer Stepp & Friends headline the WTYM Country Music Dinner Jam this Saturday in downtown Kittanning.

A popular western Pennsylvania band will be performing this Saturday at the WTYM Country Music Dinner Jam.

The band is made up of Sawyer Stepp, Ray Sherman, Barb Snyder & Debbie Sherman. Ray, Barb & Deb are siblings and have been performing together for many years. Ray & Debbie played in a band called The Country Stingers from about 1988-2004, performing at many of the Fairs, VFWs, Legions, Moose & Italian clubs in the area. The three grew up in Penn Twp Butler county and graduated from Knoch High School.

Sawyer grew up near Saxonburg and also graduated from Knoch High School but now lives in Venus, PA. Ray taught Sawyer a few guitar tricks and got him involved in playing live music. Sawyer is a big part of the band as he sings many songs and is quite capable on lead guitar as well as rhythm.

The band’s focus is on strong harmonies from the girls. They’ve been singing together since grade school. The guitar playing from Ray & Sawyer work very well together and Sawyers smooth vocals are complimented by the beautiful harmonies provided by Barb & Deb.

The band plays a wide variety of music with a strong focus on the traditonal, classic country sounds.
