Starting yesterday, M&B Services, of Clarion, began repairing a segment of sidewalk along Market Street - near the County Planning and Development office but also in front of one of the entrance to the County Courthouse parking lot.

M&B Services crews are expected to pour the sidewalk portion that is already under construction Monday before advancing up the street to in front of the parking lot exit.

Community Division Director Jennifer Bellas said the sidewalk replacement comes after Kittanning Borough Council approved a change order in early-April.

“It’s a temporary inconvenience, but it’s just a continuation of the project,” Bellas said. “There will be no brick in the driveway areas, but in-between.

A utility pole was also removed from near a local fire hydrant, and M&B Services is combining the sidewalk replacement with other punch list items scattered throughout the revitalization project
