Law Enforcement Officials Deal with Electronic Harassment
Cell phone users are appearing in court nearly every day in Armstrong County for unlawful use of their cell phones.
Such was the case with 24-year-old Casey Greenwald of 106 Colonial Road in Kittanning. He was cited by the Ford City Police Department for Harassment for an incident involving text messages sent to a victim on 7th Avenue in Ford City on the afternoon of March 26, 2011.
District Magisterial Judge James Owen said that there are more and more cases of “electronic” harassment stemming from cell phone texts and Facebook postings.

Unfortunately this is becoming all too common! In addition, criminals are using GPS devices to stalk and harass victims. The latest DOJ survey showed that stalking is up 500% with police helping very little with the complaints. I think we need to be sure our legal system keeps up with technologic advancements.
