Sewage Authority Sells Pickup Truck

Stitt's Auto Sales was the high bidder for this 1999 GMC pickup truck that was sold last week by the Ford City Borough Municipal Sewage Disposal Authority.

The Ford City Borough Municipal Sewage Disposal Authority (FCBMSDA) agreed to sell their pickup truck at last week’s meeting.

The 1999 GMC pickup was advertised for sale to the highest bidder. Bids were opened on April 8th. The Authority listed the minimum bid to be $2,500.

The vehicle was awarded to Stitt’s Auto Sales in Ford City who bid $3,000.

“The vehicle was used to shuttle people back and forth and equipment,” Superintendent James Smerick said. “It only had 39,000 miles on it and it is inspected. It is running fine. We start it every couple of days.”

Other bidders included Jeff Lukas of Ford City ($2,900), James Sokol of New Kensington ($2,628) and Sulli Motors of Ambridge ($1,680).
