Security agencies are warning individuals to protect themselves this year when writing the date on documents.
Instead of writing the date as a two-digit year, such as “1/1/20”, write out the full year – “1/1/2020”.
The reason for doing this is the date can be easily altered by adding numbers to the end, making it appear that it was written at an early year. Although you signed the document in 2020, if you just use the two-digit year, someone could add a 15 after it, making it look like you wrote the document in 2015.
