Pennsylvania State Police have been on the alert for intoxicated drivers.
According to Corporal Scott Kemling, troopers will continue roving patrols and also conduct stationary sobriety checkpoints at predetermined locations throughout the holiday season this week.
Motorists are advised to be aware of their surroundings and to have their operator license, registration, and insurance cards readily available. Motorists are also encouraged to drive sober or to arrange for a designated driver and to use their seat belts.
Kemling also reminded motorists of the Steer Clear Law, which states that motorists must move over to the lane furthest away from stopped emergency vehicles, and/or slow down if it is not possible to move over.
