Kittanning First Ward Councilwoman Keeps Her Seat

Kittanning Borough 1st Ward Councilwoman Betsy Wilt stands beside the new borough dump truck that was put into service in October. Wilt won re-election yesterday.

Kittanning Borough Councilwoman Betsy Wilt will continue to serve the 1st Ward voters after winning another term in office.

Brown

Wilt, a Democrat, ran unopposed on the ballot. However, at the last minute, local business owner Justin Brown mounted a write-in campaign to unseat Wilt.

Wilt received 53 votes while Brown had 38 votes.

Wilt has served on various committees and was a proponent of the purchase of a new garbage truck and new dump truck. She currently is working on the 2020 budget.
