Wednesday School Bus Crash Had Local Students Aboard

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Dylan Jones said that when a school bus collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Trax on Wednesday morning, the school bus was carrying 26 high school students.

According to the official report, the bus was traveling south on Old Route 66. The Chevrolet Trax driven by Jared Wright, 32, of Manorville, was attempting to pull out from Mill Street when he collided with the school bus driven by Bradley Blystone, 55, of Ford City.

Wright refused medical transport and Blystone was not injured. However, an unidentified 13-year-old female from Kittanning was transported by Ford City Ambulance to ACMH Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The other 25 students were not injured.

Wright will be cited for traffic violations.
