This horse was taken to the Whiskey Acres Sanctuary in Clarksburg, PA. Vice-President Mindy James said the horses’ bodies were shutting down.

The Armstrong County District Attorney’s office said a total of six horses had to be removed from a Dayton farm after reports that they were being starved.

Whiskey Acres Sanctuary, Second Chance Equine Association, and Rory Ridge Rescue participated in a collaborative effort to relocate the horses.

The horses were reportedly in grave danger and starved to the point they were emaciated. An unidentified individual said several of the horses required immediate medical attention.

District Attorney Katie Charlton stated that the owner of the property where the horses were located is not the actual owner of the horses. Her office is planning to file charges against the owner of the horses.
