Deborah Kline was installed as the new District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the West Central District No 7960 of the Pennsylvania State Elks Association.
Kline was named to the post at the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks during the Grand Lodge Convention this past week in St Louis Missouri.
As the National Representative for the District Lodges, Kline will be responsible for working with the Lodges to fulfill the Elks’ longstanding commitment of promoting charity and patriotism in their communities. Kline will play a vital role in working with the Lodges. Duties include: Advising lodges on important internal and business matters, how national policy is implemented by Lodges in the District and assisting with the coordination and supervision of Elks’ activities on many levels. Kline is a member of Kittanning PA Elks Lodge Number 203.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will recognize the top winners in the Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship Program. The top boy and girl will each receive a $50,000 college scholarship. Annually, the Elks award college scholarships across the nation totaling more than $4.7 million. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has made more than 5 Billion in donations since we first started 151 years ago. Last year alone, the Elks donated approximately $420 million in cash, gifts and time to make our communities better places to live. The Elks are one of the premier patriotic and charitable organizations in the United States of America. There are more than 1,800 Elks Lodges across the country with a total membership nearing 800,000. Elks’ members must be American citizens who are at least 21 years of age and must believe in God
