Approximately 70 clergy, lay-leaders, and emergency services workers met last night to hear “what to do” if someone were to come into their religious house of worship and begin shooting.
The Active Shooter Training seminar was held at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 218 North Jefferson Street, Kittanning.
The seminar series has been held at various locations following the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in October 2018. Eleven parishioners were killed in that siege.
Trooper Josh Black from the Butler State Police Barracks presented a PowerPoint presentation and held discussion on the topic.
