Total donation statistics have been released from the Armstrong County Day of Giving that was held on May 9, 2019.
At the end of all of the calculations, the nonprofit organizations raised a total of $287,718.68 and in the following weeks an additional $205 was received raising thegrand total to $287,923.68.
Armstrong County Community Foundation Executive Director Jodi E. Beers called the event “a huge success”.
“Our wonderful community cares a great deal about numerous different causes,” Beers wrote in an email. “Thank you to each and every person involved, from our match partners, participating nonprofits, volunteers, and especially the donors that made 1,599 individual gifts!”
The following non-profits raised these amounts: Arc Manor $3,887.75; Armstrong Center for Community Learning $2,114.61; Armstrong Habitat for Humanity $10,761.93; Arts on the Allegheny $7,366.56; Biblical Life Institute $13,294.38; Blessings in a Backpack $10,763.54; Blind Association $6,357.19; Child Evangelism Fellowship $5,899.54; Divine Redeemer School $937.56; Downtown Kittanning Revitalization Committee $5,356.14; Evangel Heights $23,138.09; Evangelical Lutheran School $3,600.24; Evangelical Lutheran Church-Sundaes on Sundays Concert Series $2,121.57; FCRCP $2,033.76; Fort Armstrong Folk Festival $8,707.62; Friends of KPL $14,713.04; Grace Christian School $23,862.25; HAVIN $18,578.12; Kittanning Lions Club $107.15; Kittanning Rotary Club $1,526.89; Life Choices $9,131.79; Lifesteps $2,409.09; Orphans of the Storm $29,588.38; Parker Personal Care $7,058.66; Progressive Workshop $26,801.74; Reagan’s Journey $6,190.62; RGSYMCA $17,932.12; Royal Family Kids $4,857.82; Salvation Army $8,824.84; The United Way of Armstrong County $1,925.13; West Franklin Community Library $7,809.80.
Beers said non-profits are already planning for next year’s Day of Giving that is scheduled for Thursday, May 14th, 2020.
