Students Named Lions Club Student of the Month

The Ford City Lions Club is proud to present two Students of the Month for September.

Denali John is a senior at Armstrong Junior-Senior High School. She is the daughter of Holli John. She volunteers at the Cool Spring Power Museum and has earned 24 volunteer hours in Costa Rica with Sea Turtle Conservation Project. School activities are Leo Club (2015-2018), ECC (2017-2018), National Honor Society and Yearbook (2018). Other honors and awards are Corresponding Secretary of the Environmental Conservation Club in 2018-2019. Last year and this year, Denali was named Employee of the Month at Busy Beaver. Her future plans are to attend college majoring in communications and work locally.

From Lenape Elementary is Hunter Reed. He is the son of Michael and Lindsay Reed. He has attended the Matt 24 District competition both in fourth and fifth grade. He advanced to the regional competition and won a medal. He is an average student. When not in school, he attends Boy Scouts and plays baseball. In Scouts, he has earned his Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouts and crossed over to Boy Scouts. He plans on moving up to the next rank by December. Future plans are to be an Eagle Scout and to move on in school and help all the need it.
