Kittanning street workers decided to put up Christmas decorations early. It was determined there was not enough time to take down flags after Veteran’s Day and put up decorations by Light Up Kittanning Night, which occur within the same week of November. So the American Flag will fly with Christmas decorations between now and mid-November. Street supervisor Jim Mechling said that he is changing mounts on the decorations so that they face east and west. In previous years, they were facing the businesses because that is the way the mount was designed.
