A local golf resort has been placed on the market for sale. Facilities at Lenape Heights remain open to the public, including hotel and restaurant.
Owners of the Lenape Heights Golf Course held an online auction for the facility that ended yesterday.
The bids began at $1.4 million but quickly went to $1.65 million within the last five minutes of the auction. The name of the winning bidder will not be announced until the bid has been verified. Real estate company Avison Young in Pittsburgh is agent of record for the sale.
Property tours were held August 9-10 for the Four-Star European Style Resort and golf course that was built in 2013.
In addition to the 18-hole golf course, the 192-acre property includes a luxuriously-furnished 20 key hotel. Suites and superior rooms feature large balconies. There is also a restaurant and sports bar featuring a large outdoor terrace.
The property is located at 950 Golf Course Road, off Route 66 south of Ford City.
