On Tuesday, there was a vote among the Techs and LPNs to accept or decline the latest offer by ACMH Hospital. Sources now say that the vote was 83% to reject the current offer.
Anne Remaley, Vice President of Human Resources at ACMH, indicated during an interview on Wednesday that ACMH had submitted their best offer.
“We have given them a very fair contract. I believe we are willing to meet with them, but I’m not sure what would be discussed.”
According to a statement, ACMH has confirmed that it was “notified on Wednesday by the Pennsylvania Association of Skilled Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP) that the bargaining unit of technical employees and LPNs had rejected the Hospital’s contract offer. The union requested to meet with the Hospital next week, and the Hospital agreed to do so.”
The statement did not go into further details on what would take place from here.
“Suffice to say, the offer made to the bargaining unit was a fair, market-based contract offer for the employees, which was made after months of negotiations. The employees were advised at the time that it was the Hospital’s last and final contract offer.”
