Local fire fighters toured the new county building last night to get a “lay of the land” in case of fire or other emergency. (submitted)
Local fire fighters and police were in attendance last night in a special tour of the new county building adjacent to the Court House Annex.
Kittanning Fire Marshal Earl “Buzz” Kline said he requested the tour before county workers placed furniture in the building so local responders could see the layout of the building in case of an emergency.
Firemen from all three Kittanning Borough fire departments and the Kittanning Borough Police Department were in attendance for the building recognition drill.
The county is leasing the building that formerly was the H.M. Pollock Wholesale Company. It has been remodeled into office space.
