The Armstrong Junior Legion baseball team fell one game shy of playing Warren in the Regional Championship after losing Wednesday afternoon to Connellsville by the final score of 12-1.
Armstrong did hold a 1-0 lead after the first inning, but after that Connellsville’s pitcher shut it down. Cole Shearer of Connelsville allowed only 3 hits while striking out 3 batters in 5 innings of work.
Armstrong’s lone run in the first inning was batted in by RT Bowser which scored Tanner Bordick.
