EAST FRANKLIN TWP - Matthew Bowser was involved in a hit-and-run crash last Wednesday, March 15. According to Trooper Clinton Mearkle, the 44-year-old Cowansville driver was traveling south on Glade Drive, approaching the intersection of Nolte Drive. Another vehicle was stopped on Nolte Drive. As Bowser’s vehicle approached the intersection, the other driver began moving through the intersection. Bowser was unable to stop to avoid collision. The front end of Bowser’s 2009 GMC Envoy struck the right rear side of the other vehicle, which was a white box truck. Bowser’s vehicle sustained minor front end damage and was able to be driven from the scene. The box truck driver fled the scene. No injuries were reported during the initial investigation.
