Ford City Man Charged for Causing East Franklin Crash

A pair of men was not injured in a morning vehicle accident Wednesday, but Pennsylvania State Police troopers have determined a Ford City man was at fault.

At about 7AM January 25, police determined a 2012 Lincoln MKZ driven by 65-year-old Thomas Mitchenson entered the intersection at Glade Road without seeing that another vehicle - a 2013 GMC – was approaching.

Neither Michenson nor the GMC driver – identified as 51-year-old Terry Yockey, of Worthington – were injured in the crash, but both vehicles were damaged.

The Lincoln MKZ sustained disabling damage after striking the GMC’s left front end and had to be towed from the scene by Bowser Towing.

The GMC sustained minor cosmetic damage as well as a damaged left-front tire.
