Armstrong River Hawks Remain Undefeated

by Jake DeLuca

After winning their first three games of the season on the road, the Armstrong River Hawks (4-0) continue their winning ways in front of their home crowd, defeating the Gateway Gators (2-2) 35-21.

Senior running-back Zane Dudek continued his dominant season, racking up 356 yards - giving him over 1,200 yards in just the first four games of the season. Dudek also tallied three rushing touchdowns on the game from 79, 45, and 75 yards out. To go along with his success on offense, Zane intercepted a pass on defense as well.

Armstrong found themselves down in the later parts of the first quarter 6-0, but would go on a wild run to finish the first half.

By halftime, the River Hawks were up 35-6 thanks to three touchdowns from Zane, as well as two passing touchdowns from QB Michael Lhote – the first on an 11 yard TD pass to Shawn Giddings and the second to James Cessna for a 30 yard score.

This Friday the River Hawks (4-0) will host Franklin Regional (1-2) with kickoff set for 7:00 PM.
