Armstrong River Hawks Win in Overtime

by Brandon Schrecengost

What does it take to stop Zane Dudek? This is a question without an answer so far in this football season. Dudek scored an additional 5 touchdowns tonight stretching his streak to 14 straight touchdowns for the team. Mckeesport was able to keep up though as the fourth quarter ended in a tie 35-35. Mckeesport started the overtime by getting a touchdown, but a screen pass to Shawn Giddings would bring Armstrong within one point. After the touchdown the River Hawks went for two, and got the conversion off a broken play ran from the “muddle huddle.” River Hawks will have their first home game next week. You can listen to a rebroadcast of the game 10AM Saturday Morning on WTYM 1380 AM or on the app.

Here is a quick interview with Zane Dudek.

Frank Fabian explains what happened on the final play.
