Another Loss for West Shamokin Drops Them to 0-2

The West Shamokin Wolves varsity football squad didn’t have much more luck in their second week in the Heritage Conference as they lost to the Penns Manor Comets 20-7.

This week was a cleaner played game than week one against Blairsville, where they had over 70 yards of penalties in the first half alone.

Against Penns Manor the Wolves found themselves in a manageable position down 14-7, Devin Fairman provided the touchdown for the Wolves with a 1-yard QB scramble and for the Comets Trent Franks and Isaiah Scott found the end-zone.

The Wolves would then allow Scott to score his second touchdown in the third and that pretty much sealed the Comets’ win.

Sophomore Fullback Dan Goldstrohm had an impressive game for the Wolves, notching a team-high 92 yards as he looks to be a bigger part of the Wolves’ offense.

West Shamokin will look to get their first win on the season Friday at home against Purchase Line.

The Wolves hope the home crowd can boost them to a win. You can listen live on wtymradio.com or the WTYM App.
