LOCAL SPORTS: Kittanning 9/10 All Stars Bounce Back Against New Bethlehem

The Kittanning 9/10 year old All-Star team bounces back after a loss to Indiana to win their first game in the Tournament of Champions 11-1. The tournament will continue tomorrow at Montebell Field tomorrow at 6:00 PM.

After suffering a loss against Indiana Tuesday in the All-Star champion game, the Kittanning 9/10 year old All-Star team bounced back against New Bethlehem.
The Kittanning All-Star team was able to get a win in the first round of the Tournament of Champions, another double elimination tournament. In this tournament, all of the all-star teams in district 7 participate, plus three other teams.
Kittanning was able to jump out to an early lead in the first inning by scoring three runs. After that the New Bethlehem team was unable to catch up.
After scoring one run in the first inning, New Bethlehem was unable to conjure up another run.
Kittanning would go on to score five in the third inning, two runs in the fourth inning, and one run in the fifth inning to win the first game of the Tournament of Champions by a final score of 11-1.
The Kittanning 7/8 year old All-Star team plays today at 6:00 PM , followed by the 11/12 year old team at 8:00 PM at Montebell field by the Belmont. The 10/11 year old All-Star team will play on Saturday at 6 PM at a location to be determined.
