Tim Croyle from Ford City received his check from H&R Block Tax Preparer Kathryn Wadding.
The last checks were handed out in H&R Block’s national sweepstakes that included two more local families.
Natalie Johnson, her husband Shawn and their children Lizzy, Samuel, and Lydia from Kittanning came to the Market Street office to pick up their winnings.
Shawn said they were still trying to decide how they would spend the money.
“We are either going to pay off debt, or use it for medical stuff - just get caught up I guess.”
The Johnson family from Kittanning receive their check from H&R Block Tax Preparer Pam Rupp.
Meanwhile Timothy Croyle of Ford City was the recipient of his $1,000 check from H&R Block Tax Preparer Kathryn Wadding.
The Kittanning office had eight winners of the 1,000 winners chosen nationally.
The contest officially ended on February 15.
