East Franklin Looks to Sell Used Pressure Washer

A bid was received for this pressure washer last week, but East Franklin supervisors hope to receive more than $25 for the used machine.

East Franklin Township supervisors will re-advertise to sell a piece of equipment.

This past month, supervisors only received one bid for the Hydro Tek pressure washer/steam cleaner they were hoping to sell.

Unfortunately, the bid did not meet expectations – only offering $25 from a private resident.

Township Supervisor Chair Barry Peters said even though the machine hasn’t worked since last year, the item is worth more.

“I think we can turn that bid down,” Peters said.

Township supervisors did purchase a new model that is working efficiently.

Supervisor David Stewart estimated scrap price to be under $2.

In other news, the two supervisors planned for Trash Week to be held Wednesday, April 27-30.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, dumpsters will be available from 7AM-7PM. Saturday, personnel will be available from 7AM-12 noon.
