County Recycling Program Cut
Due to the increase in the costs of operation, the Armstrong Recycling Center Circuit Rider Program will no longer operate starting January 1, 2016.
According to the County website, the recycling program has been offered to Apollo Borough, Bradys Bend Township, East Franklin Township and Mahoning Township residents unable to get to the Recycling Center in Kittanning Tuesday through Saturday.
Due to inclement weather, the circuit rider program has not been in operation during January and February.
The Recycling Center located at 139 Armsdale Road in Kittanning and the Recycling Trailer Sites will remain open.
Materials collected at the main center and recycling trailers throughout the county - such as in Elderton, Ford City and Worthington - include newspaper, aluminum cans and glass bottles and jars.

Here’s a thought give Apollo, East Brady and Dayton recycling trailers. I know that costs money but there has to be grants out there…
