The Shannock Valley Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America held its 6th Annual Car Show for the Rural Valley Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, September 12th.

The show continued its joint project of both the car club and the fire department. It has become a way for the car club to give back to the community and the Rural Valley Fire Department.

This year marked the 100th Anniversary of the Rural Valley Fire Department and their service the Rural Valley area.

This year’s show was affected by a rainy Saturday, so the turnout was low. Fortunately those who attended gave generously and they were still able to turn a profit. The food was provided by the fire department and the Music by DJ Asher. The Car Club thanked all of the car owners who brought their cars out, the judges, and our club members.

This year’s contribution was $500 to the Rural Valley Fire Department. In the six years of holding this show, there has been nearly $5,500 raised for their local first responders. Plans are already beginning for the 7th Annual Show to be held the first Saturday after Labor Day in September of 2016.

Photos from this year’s event can be seen on the car club’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pages/Shannock-Valley-Car-Club-Region-of-AACA.
