John “Jack” Arbuckle, Jr., 91, of Rural Valley, passed away on February 1, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana.
He was born on October 29, 1924 to John and Verda (Holler) Arbuckle in Yatesboro, PA. Jack owned and operated King’s Drug Store in Rural Valley where he was also a Pharmacist.
Jack was a member of NuValley Presbyterian Church and Rural Valley Lion’s Club. Jack was an avid golfer and Loved his Family. He was also a WW II Veteran, serving in the Army.
John is survived by his wife: Ann (Harris) Arbuckle, whom he married August 10, 1946; son - Douglas (Sharon) Arbuckle of Kittanning; two daughters - Miriam (Michael) McCullough of Kittanning, PA and Lynn (Ronald) Steffey of Kittanning; Brother - Dale (Eleanor) Arbuckle of Indiana, PA; sister, Marlene (James) Wilson of Rural Valley; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters - Thelma Huff and June McKain; and a brother - Blair Arbuckle.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the NuValley Presbyterian Church with Reverend Bruce Shannon, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery.
