A Tarentum woman and infant child were hospitalized yesterday following a Route 422 crash in Kittanning Township.
Brianna Cardiff, 25, and the female infant were transported by Kittanning #6 Ambulance Services to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township for minor crash-related injuries after their vehicle was struck while waiting to make a legal left-turn.
According to Pennsylvania State Police troopers from the Kittanning barracks, at 6:30AM, Cardiff stopped her 2013 Nissan Murano SUV in the left-hand passing lane with her turn signal activated to turn into a driveway east of Blanket Hill Road, but was struck in the rear by a 2015 Ford Explorer SUV driven by Maria LeClaire, 62 of Kittanning.
LeClaire was not injured in the crash, but her vehicle had to be towed from the crash scene by Mohney’s Towing.
LeClaire is to be charged with a summary traffic citation for careless driving.
