OBIT: Nathan E. Custer (Valencia)

Nathan W. Custer, 52, of Valencia, died on Friday, July 24, 2015 in Penn Township (Butler County).

He was born in Bedford County on April 15, 1963, a son of Ralph “Iron Man” and Ann (Shaffer) Custer. He was employed at Lowe’s Home Center in Cranberry Township.

He was a member of the Harmony Sportsmen Club and enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and camping.

He is survived by his parents; two sons: Nicholas (Stephanie) Custer of Fenelton, and Zachary Custer of Worthington; Tracy Custer of Worthington; fiancé: Patricia Miller of Valencia; two sisters: Suzan (Richard) Tarr of Worthington and Michelle Norman of New Jersey; two nieces: Kaitlyn (Jerry) Isaacson, and Sara Tarr; one nephew: Ricky Tarr; and one great-niece: Bell Isaacson.

He was preceded in death by his uncle: Ronald Custer.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday, July 27, 2015 and from 10AM until the time of a funeral service at 11AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington with the Reverend Robert Hindman officiating. Interment will take place in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
