Manor Township Crash Sends Drivers to Hospital
Minor injuries were reported when two vehicles collided on Friday afternoon, July 24.
The crash occurred as Benjamin James Montgomery of Ford City was driving his 2010 Chevrolet Colorado north on Route 66 in Manor Township. Montgomery was stopped and was turning onto Golf Course Road, when his vehicle was struck behind by Jared James Mechling of Ford City. Mechling was driving a 2012 Dodge Caliber.
Both operators were transported by ambulance to ACMH Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The report by the Pennsylvania State Police showed that Montgomery was not wearing a seat belt and was using his cell phone at the time of the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
