Men Flown to Hospital Following Vehicle Rollover
A pair of Armstrong County men were flown to a Pittsburgh hospital yesterday afternoon after their vehicle rolled at least three times along State Route 28/66 following a vehicle crash.
According to Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning, about 12:24PM, Robert Anthony Crosby, 24 of Rural Valley, lost control of his Kia Sedona as it was traveling south along State Route 28/66 near the Exxon gas station and struck an embankment. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn and roll multiple times before landing on the passenger side.
Both Crosby and his passenger, Frank Joseph Branan, 23 of Shelocta, were flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for treatment of “non-life threatening injuries.”
The roadway was also near the scene of an early-morning vehicle accident, where at least Clarion and Rayburn Township firefighters responded. At least one person also had to be flown to an area hospital in that crash.
