Allen Wright Brown, 85 of East Brady Road, Kittanning, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at his home.
He was born June 26, 1938 in Adrian to Roger and Theone (Wolfe) Brown.
A lifetime community resident, Allen was a press operator for Freeport Brick in Reesedale.
Allen served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was also a member of Limestone-Reesedale Church of God, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Allen is survived by his two sons: Keith (Janet) Brown of Florida and Greg (Beth) Brown of Adrian; daughter, Julie (Shawn) Stennett of Kittanning; three granddaughters: Katie Brown of Florida, Emily Brown of Adrian and Keara Luich of Saxonburg; three grandsons: Zachary Brown of Adrian, Alexander Klingensmith of Kittanning and Nathaniel Klingensmith of Kittanning; three sisters: Gail Sheahan of Michigan, Arlene Reitler of Kittanning and Beverly (Richard) Hockenberry of Adrian; and sister-in-law, Kathy Brown of Adrian.
Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine J. Brown; and two brothers: Richard and Paul Brown.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9PM today – Monday, August 12, 2013 – at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville. Additional visitation will be held from 10AM Tuesday, August 13, 2013 until the time of funeral services at 11AM in the funeral home, with Pastor Donald Bregetti officiating. Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richard G. Laube Cancer Center.
