OBIT: Matthew James Snyder (Dayton)

Matthew James Snyder, 34 of Dayton, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his home.

He was born February 7, 1979 in Kittanning to James and Nelda (Hollenbaugh) Snyder.

Matthew worked at Evergreen Homes, and was a graduate of Dayton High School in 1997 and Butler County Community College.

He also was a member of Dayton Methodist Church and Dayton Grange.

Matthew liked line dancing, playing basketball, drawing, country music, golfing and collecting die cast model Mustangs.

He is survived by his parents of Dayton; uncle, Dale (Michelle) Hollenbaugh of Dayton; uncle, Bob (Mary Ann) Snyder; aunt, Shirley Snyder of Kittanning; numerous cousins; two dogs: Winston and Fluffy; and two cats: Braveheart and Cuddles.

Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Ernest and Wilda Hollenbaugh; paternal grandparents, Harold and Nina Snyder; and uncle, Dave Snyder.

Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-9PM Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be held from 1PM until the time of funeral services at 2PM Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Dayton Methodist Church, with Pastor Dennis Howard officiating.

Interment will follow in Jerusalem Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Methodist Church.
