Bail Reduction Motions Made for Four Charged in St. Patrick’s Day Death
Keith Brison, Anthony Bove, Comse Otilio, and Dennis Rosenberger were arraigned yesterday for the murder of James Sullivan.
Dennis Rosenberger and Keith Brison – both of Kittanning - and Anthony Bove of Ford City and Otilio Cosme – both of Ford City - were of the many arraigned yesterday at the Armstrong County Courthouse before Senior Judge Joseph Nickleach.
According to the Affidavit for Probable Cause, an argument commenced between Cosme and the deceased-Chicora man - James Sullivan in the rear parking lot of the Wick City Saloon, which borders Montieth Street the early morning of Sunday, March 17th. The argument escalated into a minor physical altercation between the two in the parking lot. A short time later, Sullivan went to Cosme’s location and the two continued the verbal altercation. While the two argued with each other, another person, Rosenberger, ran across Montieth Street and ‘sucker-punched’ Sullivan in the mouth. This punch caused Sullivan to collapse backwards onto the pavement. Sullivan’s head struck the pavement with enough force to cause a deep laceration across the rear of his head and cause him to be motionless and without speech.
After Sullivan’s collapse, it is alleged that Cosme jumped onto Sullivan’s chest and abdomen. Another person, Michael Gray, observed Cosme’s actions and tackled and forced him off Sullivan’s body. Brison was near Cosme when Sullivan was attacked and went to Cosme’s aid and entered into a physical altercation with Gray.
Bove, who was standing on the hillside along the road, ran down to Sullivan and performed a “soccer style” kick to Sullivan’s body.
Sullivan was pronounced dead on March 17 at 2:50AM by Dr. Lemonick at ACMH Hospital. An autopsy was performed on Sullivan at Carlow University in Pittsburgh by Pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht – who determined Sullivan suffered three fractured ribs, a fractured skull, and a torn inferior Vena Cava vein. The torn vein was the initial cause of death.
Though all four men are currently held in Armstrong County Jail for alleged criminal homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangering another person and harassment and are held on $100,000, attorneys for all four have petitioned for a reduction in bail last week.
The bail reduction hearings are all to occur the morning of Wednesday, May 22 at the Armstrong County Courthouse.

these four need to rot in jail for the rest of their natural born lives…its no excuse to murder someone just because they had an argument or did’nt like the individual….what is wrong with people today seriously!!! they do not deserve a lighter sentence …a man lost his life because of these four individuals and they must pay hard for the horrible crime that they participated in and committed!!!thats my opinion!!! so angry!!!

That is all that we need, these four back on the street. We read a very interesting argument on Facebook between the fire chief of East Franklin VFD and some family members who were at the benefit spaghetti dinner. They spoke as if it was discussed on the radio that perhaps there was some threat phoned into the fire hall and the chief removed his equipment and firefighters out of the building and did not warn the people attending the benefit for the accused. It would be interesting to see a story on this and see what really occurred. Perhaps the chief can let us know what went on. Seems like a pretty juicy story to just slip away from the public eye. I would give little credence to the story if I had not seen the chief exchanging words in this discussion with the family members on Facebook.

I hope the judge DENIES said motion for each one of these individual wastes of human flesh. Suffer the consequences. Friends and family of the dead man certainly are suffering! Why shouldn’t these clowns? Three hots and a cot…and all kinds of publicity and notoriety? Can’t wait to see how they handle Camp Hill.

By yep, May 13, 2013 @ 7:40 PM
I hope all four rot in prison.
By mim, May 14, 2013 @ 1:04 PM
NO! I don’t want them to rot in prison…They should be put to death, like they did to Mr. Sullivan. Why should we support these scum bags the rest of their lives especially in a luxury prison. Society has enough free loading scums my tax dollars are supporting as it is, I surely don’t need anymore. Like I have said before…FRY THE SCUM!!!!

NONE of you were there so what gives you any right to speculate? You are all bullies the way I see it. Ya a man lost his life and it was a tragic accident but thats it an accident nobody kicked him to death. I was there, I know what actually happened. How many rumors go around kittanning every day that aren’t true? And why is everyone harrassing the family and the innocent children? Do you think that is right that they have to suffer over he said she said? And as far as Mr. Feeney goes, he knew there were threats and removed his ppl and trucks but did not think or care to warn the family and there were innocent ppl and children there, that would have been nice huh if kids were killed over this and he would have been responsible because he failed to warn someone. But thats ok right cus the family is scum huh even innocent children, they deserve to die or get hurt right? And as for that being true he said it on the radio that he recieved threats but didn’t warn anyone he just removed his sh** and ppl, and you can quote me on that because I was listening to the station that morning. And guess what else, he lied to you all because he knew what it was for and who they were so that is crap too. Bottom line is you were not there so stop running your mouths and passing judgement and wishing death on ppl if you weren’t there and don’t truly know what happened that night, because the whole thing is being blown out of proportion and people are making things up based on rumors and what they’ve heard through social media. People have nothing better to do with their lives then spread rumors, cause drama and make other peoples lives miserable.
By FreedomFighter03, May 19, 2013 @ 10:03 PM
Look at your very last line and I quote “People have nothing better to do with their lives then spread rumors, cause drama….”. Do you not think beating a dead dog isn’t the same?
Quit trying to bash Mr. Feeney, that man, his family, and fellow fireman brothers do more for the communities than you could ever imagine in your pathetic life time. He most likely did what he felt necessary to protect OUR community assets (trucks, etc).
Do you not pay taxes, as it would be partially yours as a tax payer…unless your like the rest and take cash (let me guess to feed your bar demons, remember you were there…) and food assistance like its water.
Drink up scum, drink up, the well will run dry eventually but, for those of us who bottle our own and do for our own we will prevail!
Cheers to another post from the idiots. Maybe one day you’ll wake up, until then good night.

truthbetoldtheyareguilty - Responding to your pathetic post, glad you could be there and be one of the P.O.S. that didn’t put a stop to it! You are as guilty as they are!! Take your sob story that they are innocent somewhere else!

I know for sure that one of the reasons we have courts and trials is to sort out the emotion , crapola and bologna from the truth. Lots of emotional comments hers. What I do know is a man is dead and he was assaulted. It may be murder or less.
This was probably not a case of a man fell down according to the autopsy. So let’s have a trial and sort out the facts with an impartial judge and a non-invloved jury and go from there. Kind of amusing to see the illiterate comments, and how much that may tell us. But I won’t judge on the basis of ignorant comments or lack of grammar, but on what actually happened.
By truthbetoldtheyareinnocent, May 20, 2013 @ 9:18 PM
Ya he is supposed to protect our “COMMUNITY” but failed to warn an innocent family about some silly ol’ threats? What a joke!!!! The threats must have been serious enough to remove his ppl and trucks. Talk about beating a dead dog??? WOW what is it that you are doing with your posts about the accused and their family?? Calling them scum and whatever else. You still didn’t answer the one question, WHY WAS IT OK FOR HIM TO NOT WARN INNOCENT PPL AND CHILDREN ABOUT THE THREATS???? No answer? Oh right that’s because IT’S NOT OK!!!!!!!!! Oh and by the way, you have no idea who I am so how the hell do you know whether or not I help the community? I work for a living, and hard too, and I have since I was 13. And as for feeding my bar demons or whatever idiotic statements you are trying so desperately to make, I go out like once every 3 months and I don’t drink. Like most ppl I was out that night celebrating St. Patty’s day. And I’m not on food assistance either, so keep talking all you want, you are making a big fool of yourself by making accusations that are soooo far from the truth!!! (We will prevail) what a moron, like we are at war or something, CHEERS to another post from the idiot - YOU!!!! Oh and you have a good night too!! I am also fighting for freedom!
By yousaidwhat, May 21, 2013 @ 9:17 AM
Truthbetold, I hadn’t heard anything about the firehall until reading this post and I do agree that the people should have been told. But do you realize that this wouldn’t have been an issue had the fight and death of a man never happened. You are fighting with people posting about this matter as though your family had nothing to do with a man dying. You want people to give the men on trial pity? The fact that you said about the “whole thing being blown out of proportion” says something about you and how you disregard the gravity of the situation. A man is dead because of your family. Why should someone give you pity when you give nothing but excuses, blame on the victim, and downplaying his man’s death? One of your family members once told me, “If you piss one off, you piss them all off”. This is a quote word for word. You and your families actions apparently verify what one of your own said. When there is a victim, even if it wasn’t intended for them to die, the people will be punished for the crime. It was a gang attack and you know it. I haven’t heard how you tried to prevent this or calling for the police to help. Why didn’t you call the police, since you were there? Where is your blame? You could have helped prevent these men’s actions and they wouldn’t be in jail waiting for their punishment to be handed out. If you are the spokeman of the family to gain support or understand what happened you should step down, you doing more harm for them than good. Also you never answered my question from before, how did this start? Did it have to do with a woman fight in the bar? Of course this is just a rumor, so I am just asking.
By justbecause, May 21, 2013 @ 9:18 AM
You are very quick to point fingers over a bomb threat when it was against your family and even quicker to scream they are innocent over a man losing his life. How about an apology to Jimmy’s family/friends for your families actions. I understand family love and wanting to stand by your family, but there comes a time when you need to acknowledge there is guilt in the death of Jimmy by your family.
By steve, May 21, 2013 @ 5:29 PM
truthbetold- If they are found guilty do you plan on issuing an apology on here to the family of the deceased, or would a body & conviction still not be enough to persuade you that your family member may have committed a crime?
By jorn jensen, May 22, 2013 @ 8:38 AM
Agree 100% Flamingo1 - this is the new norm in grammar and spelling. You are absolutely correct, let the court sort it out.
