OBIT: Calvin Frank “Kelly” Bowser (Worthington)

Calvin Frank “Kelly” Bowser, 87 of Worthington, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at ACMH.

He was born October 12, 1925, the youngest and last surviving child of Frank and Maude (Bruner) Bowser. Kelly was born on the family farm.

Kelly was a retired dairy farmer.

He was also a member of Franklin Union Baptist Church in Worthington and also belonged to the Florida Shuffleboard Association.

Kelly is survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Jean Norton – whom he married September 30, 1950; daughter, Kathy Deabendefer of Davenport, Fla; son, Kevin (Pam) Bowser of Worthington; four grandchildren: Kellie Howard, Jeremy Deabendefer, Joshua Bowser and Bridget Mechling; and eight great-grandchildren: Karlee, adison and Randy Howard, Addison Mechling, Abby and Emily Deabendefer and Belle and Abraham Bowser.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Randy Deabendefer; two brothers: Harry C. and Roy K. Bowser; and three sisters: Zelma Claypoole, Margaret Detrow and Lula Pfeil.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM today, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM tomorrow, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Franklin Union Baptist Church in Worthington. No additional visitation will be held.

The Rev. Scott Jones will officiate the service.

Interment will follow in Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
