10/18/1969 – Two men were killed and two others injured in a violent car crash early today on Butler Road, Route 422, near Worthington. Victims were Fred Zorb, Jr., 23, of Butler, and driver Frederick J. Van Dyke, 22, of Freeport. Hospitalized was Thomas Guidotti, 23, of Butler. Treated and released was Robert Hancock, 21, of Butler. The car was traveling west at about 3:15 AM when it left the highway, ripped out 13 guard posts, plunged over an embankment, and rolled onto its roof. The car may have reached a speed of 110 mph at the time of the crash.

The event, given by the couple’s son Edwin, daughter Linda, and daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Gerald Elgia, was prepared and served by the Kittanning Township Auxiliary at Shay Grange Hall.
