State Police Plans for DUI Patrols

State Police will be doing sobriety checks this holiday weekend.

Pennsylvania State Police Troop D Kittanning will be conducting roving and stationary DUI patrols for the Labor Day weekend throughout Armstrong County.

Motorists are advised to be aware of their surroundings and to have their license, registration, and insurance card readily available.

Motorists are also encouraged to drive sober and/or get a designated driver, along with using their seat belts.

Motorists are also reminded of the “steer clear” law. Section 3327 of the Vehicle Code states motorists MUST move over to the late furthest away from stopped emergency vehicles AND/OR slow down if it is not possible to move over. Fines range from $85 to $250 plus costs and license suspension for failure to comply.
