Pennsylvania State Police are investigating theft from a residence on Mahoning Road in Madison Township last night.
According to Investigating Officer Nickolas Elliott, 51-year-old Lisa Wolbert from Cranberry Township, PA, entered the home of Larry Traister through a window when he was not home. Wolbert allegedly went into Traister’s safe and took $15,000 and multiple vehicle titles.
Traister arrived at the residence when Wolbert was exiting through the front door. Traister told police that Wolbert had his wooden box in her hand with his passport and other personal belongings. Traister made Wolbert put the wooden box down and she then left the residence. He was not aware at the time that Wolbert took the titles and money from his safe.
Titles stolen included: 2018 Dodge Ram truck title, Premier trailer title, 2013 Polaris side-by-side title, and a 2001 Honda Forman ES title.
Traister related the Wolbert had been staying with him for the past three months so she would get back on her feet.
Wolbert was arrested for theft. No other details were made available.
