One week ago on February 4, AAA Central, the agency that tracks gas prices in this region, projected the following:
“The healthy supply should help to keep gas prices stable for motorists in the region.”
Someone should inform Sheetz. Gas prices took another hike yesterday, jumping to $2.66 in Kittanning and Indiana, while Butler went from $2.24 to $2.49.
Sheetz is quiet about the discrepancy between gas prices in the area, but one unidentified tanker driver who wished to not be identified said “It all comes out of the same refinery. We just haul it to different locations.”
BP in Kittanning and Ford City followed the pricing set by Sheetz.
Drivers can’t do anything about it, except maybe drive a little less (uhhh, that won’t happen).
