The Multidisciplinary Child Protection Team (MDT) of Armstrong County Children, Youth, and Famly (CYF) Services is accepting nominations for its Child Advocacy Award.
The MDT consists of area citizens and professionals from various child and family serving disciplines who assist the public child welfare agency in child abuse identification and service planning. Although the MDT has been in existence since 1976, it was in 1988 that the MDT established this special award.
The Child Advocacy Award is presented to an Armstrong County resident who, through his or her conduct and volunteer efforts, has made a positive impact on the lives of local children, supporting their physical, mental, moral, social, and spiritual development.
Community members are asked to take this opportunity to nominate and acknowledge the child advocacy efforts of individuals who devote their time and energy to positively impact children’s lives.
Nomination forms are being distributed countywide to various merchants, churches, and other professional and civic organizations. They may also be obtained at the Kittanning Paper office, or at the office of Children, Youth, and Family Services, 310 South Jefferson Street, Kittanning.
