10/16/1968 – Local merchants are ordering merchandise from toy manufacturers for Christmas sales. Small children as well as teens finding love for the first time are into cuddly stuffed animals this year. And they aren’t cheap, ranging from $20 to $70.
10/16/1963 - Sally M. Heider, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Heider of 109 Northern Ave., Kittanning, has been commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in the PA Air National Guard. Lt. Heider is a member of the 147 Aeromedical Transport Squadron at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport.
