Dayton Seniors Plan Patriot Day Program

The Reverend Jimmy Swogger will present a patriotic performance today in Dayton.

The Dayton Senior Center is hosting a special program this morning commemorating the tragedy that occurred in United States on September 11th, 2001.

More than 80 people from Dayton, Rural Valley, and Elderton area are expected to attend the program scheduled to begin at 10AM this morning.

The Reverend Jimmy Swogger will present a musical program of patriotic and spiritual nature in addition to entertaining the seniors with his ventriloquist presentation that will include assistance by “George Washington.”

Swogger is the senior pastor at the Church of God in Distant, PA. He is an accomplished vocalist and performs at various local events.

The Dayton Senior Center meets weekdays at the American Legion on Route 839 across the road from the Dayton Elementary School. It is one of twelve centers sponsored by the Armstrong County Area Agency on Aging.
