Lions Club Announces Contest Winners

The Kittanning Lions Club held a Golf Chipping Contest during the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival earlier this month.

The winner of the 13contestants in the adult category was Scott Fleming of Creekside.

Other prizes at this level were won by Allen Hamlin of Natrona Heights (2nd). Donald Meighan and Maddox Rearic, both of Kittanning, and Stewart McEntire of Dayton and Watson Smith Jr. of New Alexandria tied for third place.

Winners in the age 9-12 category were first place winner Cash Julius of Kittanning, second placce to Jacob Szep of Kittanning, and third place was Lukas Contrael of Cranberry Township.

Winners of the age 8 and under category were first place Patience Joy Waugaman of Ford City, second place Chloe Jones of Kittanning, and third place to Kelain Davis of Hawthorne.

The Kittanning Lions Club extended grateful appreciation to Birdsfoot Golf Club, Cabin Greens Golf Course, the Deertrak Golf Club, Eracers, Jordan’s Soft Serve, the Kittanning Country Club, Lenape Heights Golf Resort, Lick-N-Putt, and White Oak Golf Course for their donations to help make this event a success.
