The East Brady Area We Believe Light-Up Night will be held on Saturday, December 2. This year’s event is a combination of two popular events held in past years. The We Believe holiday crafters event previously held on a separate weekend has been streamlined this year with a focus on downtown activities that will be held in conjunction with Light-Up Night for one fun-filled day!

The day starts at 9 a.m. with Log Cabin Primitives on Ferry Street where you will find unique handcrafted items for your home or gift giving, along with Nancy’s home-baked goods. The Log Cabin is open until 2 p.m. From 10 a.m until 4 p.m, the Methodist Church at 416 Kelly’s Way will be hosting a bake sale and crafters, and will also be selling fresh-baked apple dumplings, and Ice-Jam Jam. From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Allegheny Hills Retirement Residence at 421 Kelly’s Way will be serving lunch, and hosting a basket raffle and bake sale. Pizzelles and Ice-Jam Jam will also be for sale, and a 50/50 raffle will be offered to benefit the East Brady Area Development Corporation ( EBADC). From 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., there will be an eat-in or take-out spaghetti dinner at the Ambulance Service building at 426 Kelly’s Way. The dinner proceeds benefit the annual East Brady Riverfest.

The highlight of the day will be Light-Up night held at the Veteran’s Memorial Park on Kelly’s Way starting at 5:00 p.m. The evening will begin with greetings from the President of East Brady Borough Council, Barb Mortimer and EBADC master of ceremonies Chris Henderson. After a ride through town, Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop by to enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, fresh popped popcorn, and cookies. Christmas carolers will entertain as new large cone trees at the park will be lit. Candle lighting will precede the music and refreshments. All are welcome to participate!

This year’s event is co-sponsored by EBADC and East Brady Borough.
