SOUTH BEND - A deer caused an accident on Crooked Creek Road, just west of Windy Flats Road in South Bend Township. 48-year-old Ronald Branan of Spring Church was driving his 1977 Ford F-150 when it struck a deer in the roadway. The impact caused Branan to swerve his vehicle to the right, striking an embankment, then overturning onto its roof. Branan was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. The incident occurred on September 7 at 2:40 AM.
