The North Allegheny 11/12 year old little league baseball team won the Major League Section 2 Championship at Montebell Field by defeating Connellsville by the final score of 8-1.
The tournament saw its fair share of long balls, with 33 home runs hit in the six games at Montebell Field, including two homers from North Allegheny in the championship game.
Now that North Allegheny are the section champions, they will be heading to Fleetville, Pennsylvania for the State Championship Tournament and if they win there then they will be heading to the regional tournament.
