The Armstrong Jr. Legion baseball team earned their 10th win in a row to open the season 10-0 after a win at home Wednesday over Walbeck Insurance’s Homer City team by the final score of 14-0.
Armstrong started out strong, scoring 4 runs in the first inning before exploding in the second inning, scoring 9 more runs to take a 13-0 lead.
Tanner Bordick finished the game with a team high 3 RBI’s while Caleb Harriger earned 2 doubles going 2/3 from the plate in the game.
Zack Streightif had a nearly perfect game from the mound after striking out 9 batters in 5 innings while just allowing 2 hits and 1 walk on the afternoon.
The Armstrong Jr. Legion baseball team will be back at home (Ford City) to take on the Kovalchick Insurance team at 6:00 PM.
